The Daily Meal's new EAT city pages are an easy way to dine deliciously in 12 major cities, from cheap eats to five-star meals.

Torrisi Italian Specialties

One of our New Year's resolutions is to not be a repeat-offender at restaurants — that means breaking out of a restaurant rut and trying new places and new foods. Want to join us in our quest? Take a look at The Daily Meal Hot Lists for the newest and most popular eateries in 12 cities…

In New York, newcomer Torrisi Italian Specialties has been making waves, even with all of the upscale Italian restaurants that have opened recently.

In Boston, head to Eastern Standard Kitchen for their comfort food with European leanings.

Planning a long weekend in another city? For our Top Restaurants list, we've chosen some places that must be on any itinerary. Maybe there’s a dreaded work conference coming up; if you can sneak away for just one meal, choose one of the restaurants on our all-around best lists…

In Philadelphia, 10-year-old Vetri is still one of the city’s top restaurants, and Chef Marc Vetri’s Italian classics don’t seem to lose their luster.

In Seattle, we think Lark’s rustic, seasonal cuisine makes the restaurant one of the Pacific Northwest’s brightest stars.

With an eye towards frugality, we also compiled a list of great Cheap Eats that will allow you to dine on a dime whether traveling or on a day-to-day budget. Some are standard favorites that never get old, like In-N-Out, but others are amazing little holes in the wall that we’ve discovered for you…

In Los Angeles, you’re going to find some of the country’s best taco joints, like King Taco near Westlake.

In Chicago, hot dogs reign supreme, and you can’t go wrong with a pure beef Superdawg.

Check out the EAT city pages for these other cities too:

Food Bloggers’ Guide of Where to Eat in Kansas City, MO

Great cities in the middle of the country sometimes get overlooked, but this month we’re here to tell you that dining in Kansas City is just too cool to pass up.

Famously known for its jazz, blues and the red hot Royals, this heartland hub has a quaint, laid-back midwestern pace, with a surprisingly cosmopolitan vibe. Home to many a museum, beautiful fountains (there are around 200 of them!), and a magnificent farmers’ market that could give Pike Place a run for its money, KC is booming with culture and beauty. With more boulevards west of the Champs-Élysées, its been donned the “Paris of the Plains.”

In recent years, there’s been a huge revitalization to Kansas City’s downtown area, and new places are sprouting up left and right, making it more of an exciting place to visit than ever.

Don’t even get us started on the BBQ (this town is a meat lover’s mecca, with around 100 barbecue restaurants!) If you’re never had proper Kansas City barbecue (cooked slow and smoky, with a signature tomato and molasses-based sauce), that there is reason enough to hop a plane.

We recently picked the brains of four food bloggers and proud KC locals, to find out what they claim as their favorite food joints in the city.

Ready? Set? Kansas City, or bust!

*Note* Start planning your trip now, and you can catch the Chopped Conference in October! It’s a one-day food blogging conference right in the heart of Kansas City and the perfect excuse to eat your way through the city.
